that's like saying "WABC is a WXYZ station."

the correct wording would be "WXYZ is Detroit's ABC affiliate" (yeah i said affiliate)

That's why I've never liked this announcer. I grew up listening to Alan Pinter's voice. They ditched him from news opens around 1996 or so.
