  • What a treat to hear the raw version. At the same time it makes me realize that Tom Wilson contributed a lot in making the Velvet Underground the very most influential band in the world. He did a great job re-recording the track.

    Great is not the appropriate word, considering he also produced the deftly pioneering second album, which I consider to be the ultimate masterpiece of al time and space.

  • great band and song!! I have heard this song covered by Uk Subs , but they really destroy the song. I like their version also but it is a totally different from the original. Velvet Underground made true revolution in music and art as a whole...

  • @negetivekreep I love this song, like everyone else here I suppose. You know, there were quite a few great underground bands in the US that few people remember now, garage bands. And Iggy & the Stooges of course. Punk rock, as it was called later in the 1970s, was really born in the1960s.
