Rock On Kenworth Trike
In March 2008 a machine like no other started to take shape in the Rock On Repair Shop. A wild and crazy idea was starting to be taken seriously. The Rock On Trike started its life out as a 1988 Kenworth dump truck, stripped of parts and neglected through out its usage, there wasnt much left for a work truck. The cab, dump box, engine, axles and related components were removed. The frame was modified and strengthened for its new design. Key features to keep were air ride, air brakes and to keep the old hood. The Cummin's 350 Big Cam IV
engine boast a whopping 400hp, putting it to the wheels through the Power Components clutch and Eaton 9spd transmission. For Kick's two polished beer kegs double as air tank's and an actual set of train horn's warns on lookers to move out of the way! This machine rides like a Cadillac on its air suspension and turn's on a dime with its one wheel power steering. Setup with a towing hitch to pull a modified sleeper, and Jake brakes for additional braking power. A chopped hood and custom grille enclose the engine while a stainless steel spoiler keeps the wheels planted to the ground. The Rock On Trike is a serious machine and has already been used for events such as the St. Joseph, MN 4th of July Parade and Chili Feast.

  • How do you use it as your view to the right is completely obscured ?

  • @romandybala There are mirrors that show the other side.. also there is a camera that shows that side.. However none of that is actually practical while driving and road experience is what it really comes down to.

  • what a waste of a perfectly good kenwoth truck

  • @MegaBesomeone

Actually it was a tipped over and totaled out kenworth dumptruck.

perhaps not to you, but a good percentage (atleast 70-80%) of the population never seen monster garage or the trike they built and never will. This thing draws a crowd and stops traffic anywhere it goes.

  • @TheRebelman95

Its street Legal, driven on public streets all the time with no problems.

  • that is bad ass

  • @TheWildchild59jr -- Seems there's Always gotta be some youtube viewer whose perspective on custom builds is SO jaundiced they can't appreciate something for what it is but just HAVE to dismiss it because it fails to measure-up to an absurdist, obscure & wildly impractical, unrealistic & contrived criteria. By YOUR standard, the ONLY build worth doing is something no-one has done before that doesn't involve a motor or engine & trans on 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 or more wheels. This trike isn't competing!!!
