Computer Chronicles Tech-TV, The Hard Disk (1985) During the mid eighties applications were getting more complicated and needed more disk space. This episode reviews some of the options, hard disk drives, Bernoulli boxes and tape streamers.
Attack of The Show is garbage for people who weren't born with a fully functional brain. This is what The Screensavers from ZDTV would look like in 1985 minus Leo Laporte and Patrick Norton.
wow - 6 MIPS... $500k... my first new PC in 1997 was around 400 (bogo)MIPS. It surely was faster than that VAX though... for $1000 with a 6GB drive and 32MB ram too! haha. Huge drive so I put both linux and windows NT on it... it played quake very well.
10 megabyte hard drives selling for only $395! Woohoo!! And now for about $49.95 we can store about a thousand times that amount on something the size of your thumbnail. Gotta love technology.
