Kaeru Shooter, litterally 'frog shooter', is a game that was released by Hudson Soft in 1984 for the MSX system.
The object of the game is to guide your X-Wing figther through a trench will shooting at enemy frogs and avoiding their fire. If you shoot at an enemy it will change into its next shape (egg -- tadpole -- frog). You must hit an enemy three times before it gets destoyed. The bigger (and thus closer to you) the enemy is the more points you get.
Hudson Soft release many games for the MSX system their success being a hit and miss. Games like Bomber Man (also known as Eric and the Floaters) were a succes but games like Driller Tanks were a complete miss. They also cooperated with Konami to produce Pooyan. Other games include: Sky Diver, Canon Ball, Nuts & Milk and Stop the Express.

You make sense my friend :) This game clearly tried to cash in on Star Wars' famous trench run.
