Nice job there, but using the sound from the Rainbow concert to the Crackerjack video confuses. Both are legendary and shouldn't be mixed together, imho.
Cleverly edited but this soundtrack is from the Rainbow live cd I think! Look for this recording elsewhere and you'll hear the original Crackerjack soundtrack, which is different It doesn't have masturbation, constipation or Brian's fluffed lines at the beginning of the 2nd verse.
Someone has done a pretty good job of remastering the original sound. The bass is a little bit heavy, but the stereo "spread" effect is quite cool! I never understood why the band always had to lip sync all of the time. They were brilliant live (especially vocally) and never received the credit they should have. I have noticed on other live videos that they did use a secondary guitar player who did not appear on stage. The Little Willy live performance on You Tube shows this quite clearly.
I picked up a DVD from Tesco some time ago all about the Sweet and there rise to fame, had interviews with ex managers and Andy Scott. Only cost £3.00, absolutely brilliant. Shame about Brian Connely and Mick Tucker - God Bless
