The incredible Revolution Floating Oyster Garden!

This is a one-half scale, working model of the Revolution Floating Oyster Garden, which allows you to grow oysters at your pier virtually without effort.The Revolution is self-powered: it uses the daily tide to rotate the drum which contains your oysters. As a result, the drum stays clear of fouling organisms, and the oysters inside are slowly tumbled to cleanse them of any accumulating sediments. This is a huge improvement over conventional oyster aquaculture floats - no maintenance!

In the video, watch as the drum slowly rotates and the oysters begin to tumble when the "tide" falls within the aquarium. Then, as the float is buoyed on the flood tide, the drum is restored to a neutral position - preparing itself for the next falling tide.

except that the tumbling action forces oysters to close their shells...constant agitation and falling over each other wont allow them to open their shells and open up properly/. You might also want to use a single loop instead of two loops so that the cage remains under water. A simple water jet will keep the oysters clean from any sediments.
