If you are an asparagus fan, you're going to love this recipe from Chef Jason Hill of Chef Tips. Grilled asparagus recipes are especially popular, served alongside grilled fish or chicken.

Grilled Asparagus

25 stalks asparagus
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon pepper

Chef Tip; When choosing your asparagus, look for firm stalks and tips that are tightly closed. If your lemon pepper has salt as the No. 1 ingredient, you will not need to salt your asparagus.

Rinse the stalks under cool running water. Cut off the bottom 2 inches of the stalks.

Place stalks in a large casserole and drizzle with 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Coat well.

Preheat grill to high. Grill asparagus about 2-3 minutes or until slightly charred.

Chef Tip: Roasted asparagus is just as easy. Place in oven at 425 F for about 10 minutes.

Serve in your favorite salad or with pasta or grilled meats.

Hill shows you how to cook asparagus with this simple and delicious marinade of olive oil and lemon pepper. Your guests will be raving about it!

If you have any leftovers, you can use the asparagus crowns in your favorite asparagus soup recipe or in an asparagus quiche. It's also delicious tossed into a salad.

  • @cliffcox66

I don't know how to answer this. Can you provide some facts? I mean, grilling Asparagus every now and then certainly won't do in with Cancer.

  • @cliffcox66 these days....what isn't a carcinogen? If you're going to go...might as well go after a good meal ;)

  • @intranick Yes, this was done with our old equipment and we were still learning how to edit. Sorry. Our new videos have both channels! :)

  • @ChefTips tho the music was a nice touch, you might wanna consider cloning the audio to the other side, it was quite trippy off my speakers.

  • @lightsoflove that's the only way I can eat it..

  • @ChefTips Looks really good ! I love the char marks !! Its the best way to eat them and thank you for this video.

  • @ChefTips I read that burning, char marks, basically anything that blackens creates acrylamides. Just google it, or "burnt food cancer" and see the results. But I think it's a great recipe and I appreciate all your vids.
