Musigy unites people in Georgia and Russia blog.musigy.com

Russia and Georgia have lately been in a state of a deep political conflict. Yet, the two countries share a lot in common: history. culture and, most importantly, people. The Old New Year Dmitry Kiselev's program "National Interest" on Russia's biggest national TV channel gathered some of the very famous Georgeans in TV studios in Moscow and Tbilisi.

Famous actors, musicians, writers, film directors, and most importantly, old friends they were exchanging warm memories, funny stories and were wishing each other love, peace and prosperity. Not a word about politics - yet, the program participants were in fact separated by the political boundaries escalated after October 2006.

@Sazandar You are optimistic, and that is admirable. However I am realistic, besides Bagration, Russia has gotten nothing good out of Georgia. We have never been friends to begin with Georgia just accepted us in the lesser of the 3 evils in 1783. BTW, we should have never even signed that treaty. It angered the Turks and the Persians, instead we should have signed peace agreements with THEM. But like I was saying, we always hated each other, and I don't see that changing to be honest.

@hondacivic1992 That's right, that is shit. I suffer a lot on account of that. But I don't believe that it is forever. Sooner or, most probably, later our nations will realize that they are destined to cooperate and be friends. I firmly believe in that.

@Sazandar Unfortunately what you speak of is as dead as the USSR, besides war, there will be nothing between our two countries from now on, and it will never end. After 8-8-8 Russia and Georgia are enemies forever, after blood is spilled there is no going back, especially with the temperaments of the Russian and Georgian peoples. I know that it sucks, but this is the grim reality, and reality hurts.
