Wait, so you mean to tell me that I would get these very same results with circular needles...? I'm knitting adult booties (working on the leg part) and would take the Circulars over the DPN's ANY day! Please say it's so. :) Thank you for this video, it really puts this technique in perspective to a VISUAL knitter like myself. :)

Yes - if I were you I would only ever use 1 circular needle: a 45"to 60". You can use it for everything. Watch my video on doing magic loop. Once you go magic loop, you never go back and you realize that you can use a long circular needle for everything. You don't really need any other needle.

My pattern calls for 5 DPN's. I have never used them before..Can I use a circular needle to do this??

Since I tend to forget what Im doing I use something to put numbers on the needles: I dont know what is their name in english but I use paper clips (I think they're called Binder Clips) a pair for every needle and I put numbers on them! Believe me, It's a crazy thing to do but it works!!Good Luck!

I've been knitting 50 years and have mastered most techniques, but "in the round" defeats me. The idea of a video is a good one, but a left-handed knitter kind of throws things off for us righties. The very large needles look like pens and just seem to jangle around loosely. I was told to hold all the needles in place as I knitted and felt like I needed about five hands! The only reason I'm still trying is I now have a knitted amigurumi book and it's all tubes. I'll keep trying!
