Surrender is an Electric Light Orchestra's song, from the album A New World Record, composed by Jeff Lynne.
Lyrics:

Baby, Can you hear me call,
Is it alright, now your back's against the wall.
And baby, is it still the same,
Do you wonder, is it on and back again.

CHORUS:
Surrender, baby surrender,
Surrender, baby surrender.

I know it, what we said that day,
Are you under, does it matter anyway.
You told me, what you said is true,
Does it all mean waitin' gone alone and blue.

CHORUS: Repeat

Baby, Can you hear me call,
Is it alright, now your back's against the wall.
And baby, is it still the same,
Do you wonder, is it on and back again.

CHORUS: Repeat

  • lol, yea ok

  • the opening riff also reminds me of the opening of "part-time lover" by stevie wonder

  • @moog10538 Maybe you're right. Though the melody is pretty good. I bet if they did the whole song back in '76 it would sound really good.

  • This 30-years-later recording shows just why it wasn't included in the original release of the album. Poor quality sub-filler, unfortunately.

  • Great post! Sounds most like a "Secret Messages" or "Balance of Power" outtake. Would have made a pretty good '80's single with a little more polish.

  • @sapianddog

  • IS VERY GOOD HEARD ELO,FOR ME THE BEST OF THE BEST BANDS ALL OVER THE WORLD . I LOVE ELO SINCE FIRST TIME IT PLAYED IN MY LIFE ! - SANTOS-SP - BRAZIL
