My argument does not hinge on whether it is plausable or not, it hinges on the flexibility of a unit of measure. What is the use in a unit of measure that can take on many different values? Mt. Ararat was debunked as a geological structure years ago anyway.

As far as I am aware there are several mechanisms for genetic mutation which have been observed and studied in the lab. The lack of an example may be because macroevolution as it is currently understood is the accumulation of lots of small genetic changes. You're supposedly the MD, then search through the peer reviewed journals yourself.

This is ridiculous, if you know anything about mutation you will know that there are many ways for mutation to occur including those which add or copy large base sequences. Since a gene is defined as a DNA length that contains all the codons needed to produce a polypeptide or protein it is obvious that a duplication, deletion or insertion can create new genes. Not only this but a build up of many harmless additions to the DNA increases the complexity of the genome.
