Its a nylon rope lure. Its easy to make and if you use fish attractant its even better.

That's cool you let em go the right way. Instead of breaking his beak off or tying a stick in his mouth or just simply throwing it up on the bank. Most people don't know but far fish can still breathe out if water so it takes a long while for them to die like that. I like seeing people that look like they care about nature. We only get 1 earth thanks for helping take care of it.

personally, to catch gar, i put a minnow on a small hook, i cast him in front of the gar, i wait so that the gar can gulp the entire bait, then i set the hook and it works all the time
