False Dawn
1944 is the year of victories. After a 900-day siege, the Soviets finally liberate Leningrad. The Red Army pushes westward and beings to retake the territories occupied by the Germans for so long. Once again Stalin has plans for the people who suffer under the occupation.
I wanna puke every time I see western interpretation of Polish uprising. garbage.

Churchill had now right to talk about freedom.. He Himself is an imperialist and vehemently opposed the independence of the eastern countries like India Burma and other countries who were fighting for freedom..

Also like always they try to take the victory away not just from Stalin, wich he was not even imo apart of, but normal soviet soldiers and generals. Like the murder of 20k officers of Katyn is a drop in a ocean of 6million poles murdered by the Nazis...ffs. If the London poles would have been less politicly involved i think Warsaw would not been "betrayed" it was betrayed by both sides, the London poles and Stalin or maybe Stalin may have made peace with Nazis and left Poles to them?

Plus the documentary is very inaccurate in some parts, like Operation Bagration was not Zhukovs idea, it was Rokossovskys. Zhukov was for one primary attack as Rokossovsky demanded two primaries wich was unusual to Soviet military doctrine and he was twice asked to reconsider it, but he was adamant about it, so the final say was Stalins and he said that if a general is so adamant about its succes then we shall go with Rokossovskys plan. He gained the Marshal title upon the incredble succes of it
