This video is to illustrate a discussion in a posting on the Sword Buyer's Guide Forum. This is a sword I just received and it's the first time I've worked with it much.

I am trying to learn some basic cut-n-thrust fencing moves...though I realize how clumsy I am, and how much I SUCK after seeing the video. ;-)

  • @ChishioAme that makes a lot of sense(also it was a while before I noticed the caption also)

  • @lockbreak12 Haha. Well, now I feel the fool. Captioned right at the beginning "Cut & Thrust Drills With New ATrim 1315". Mike can probably say for certain, but I think this may have been the sword the PA was based on, since they share quite a few similarities.

  • @ChishioAme I actually own the practical arming sword and this is not the same the pommel and tip are not quite the sme from what i can tell

  • @lockbreak12 You probably found this out awhile back, but in case not, it's the Valiant Armoury Practical Arming Sword. You can get it on Kult of Athena for 215$.

  • Good work ShooterMike. I notice the video is several years old so you are probably well improved since filming. I like the preceding thrusts with knuckles in or out followed by a cut from that side. Have you tried ocasionaly following your cut down through and up to a front overhead guard and doing the second cut from there? You'll find it a quick recovery - and you'll be able to take out two bottles quickly. I love the music too.

  • great job but try wasting less drinking water

  • Okay dang that was more than a sip... :|

  • Oh my god! I've been watching your vids for several hours now and even from the beginning I was waiting for you to take a gulp from a cut bottle and just as I thoguht about saying that in a reply I see you take that eagerly awaited sip! :D
