This is my 2nd posting of this piece, as my first one was for some reason less than professional. :) I've slowed this one down a bit and changed the interpretation here and there. I hope people like this one. Please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions.

  • Thank you. This is fun to listen to and to learn from. I was wondering, why you didn't use any bass notes starting the run at measure 23?

  • Whose version are you using???

  • @lucassalazar I have no idea! I found it in tabs and started writing out the music for myself. I came onto YouTube to see how others play it. I just happened to notice yours didn't have bass notes in that section. I'm really just trying to learn the piece and can't get it to breathe like some of you guys do. I like how you move your right hand towards the sound hole. Like a call and response, or an echo. I play mine like yours. What version is this?

  • John Duarte is the version, but I'm not following it religiously. You got it exactly right with the echo idea I have on the repeated parts. If I've learned one thing about music in all my time playing, it's that your thinking on a piece is going to have a major impact on its delivery - the devil is in the details. You hear someone like Julian Bream and you feel how he understands every phrase and makes the whole damn thing sing!

  • VERY nice. Easy to listen to your playing. Very tasteful.

  • Thanks a lot! I worked a long time to make this piece decent. Bach is no joke!!!

    Best,

    Lucas

  • I searched around to find a copy of the music as Duarte arranged it, but I couldn't find it. Still, I found a music website and ordered it. Thanks for the conversation which convinced me to look for some actual sheet music.

  • Nice work. Viva Bach! Vrooooom!

  • very nice lucas !

  • I know how you feel...been reading tab for a long time and then getting to read "real" music is quite a difficult transition. Where did you get the sheet music from? I believe what you were playing is in G but most sheet music out there is in D.

  • Very beautiful. It resonated to my core. Wow. Cheers :)
