November 5, 2007: PRR E8's 5711 and 5609 lead a train of vintage passenger cars on their trip back to Philadelphia after Saturday's railfest in Scranton. Here they are going by CP Harris on Amtrak at 7:10, too bad they took so long down the Buffalo Line, but they are still beautiful in this video. I was waiting at CP Wye from 3... left at 6 and decided to swing by CP Harris when I heard NS 064 pop up on the scanner, the ID turned into AMTK 866 at the Amtrak Station.

Hey, nice video. I remember you. I was one of the guys up at CP Wye that went down to the tower. I ate dinner up on the train directors desk and during the arrival I was up in the tower with one of the caretakers.

It was a wonderful trip. This is the route of the "Interstate Express" which went on to Binghamton and Syracuse. "The Interstate Express" today would be very popular. With Tilt train equipment the trip would take half the time of a regular train.

The Dover Harbor is a very pretty car, as is the Chapel Hill. It was on our New River Train in WV back on Oct 20 21 and 27 and 28th. I got the chance to visit with the chefs on there. Very nice car now I know where the car went.

Really great stuff!
It seems the old E & F units are getting alot of attention here lately. It's always nice to see railroad history on the move.
Thanks for posting!
