Both B units,(new out of the box) had loose wires behind the 10 pin mounted tether connection which caused the trailing A units slave circuit board to fry twice. Luckily I registered both the ABA set and add on B unit for warranty right away and both were fixed at no cost. In regards to the cars, they are 2 identical MTH 5 car 70' smooth side painted aluminum sets from 1997 and 2 sets of matching sleeper/diner add ons.

I am down to 11 cars due to electrical shorts in 2 of the coaches causing interuption of current. One coach is sparking from the wheels. There are no visible bare wires, can there be a short in one of the bulb sockets? If anyone know how to troubleshoot this problem in these type of MTH aluminum cars please post a reply.
