I could ramble on about how much I wish I was back there or how much I love these guys, but really just wish I had a time machine to fuck off out of here & watch live :P
Sting was filming the film Quadrophenia earlier that day, he ran off the plane just in time for a few minutes of makeup before tv. He sprayed hairspray in his eyes and he ended up blistering his eyes. He borrowed Stewart Copleand's oversized sunglasses in order to hide his blistered red eyes, not to make a bad fashion statement. True story.
Indeed. Apparently, he had a hard time keeping the glasses on his face and kept jerking his head back and twitching. The next day, kids all over England were wearing over-sized glasses and twitching. Hey, I wanted to be Sting when I was a youngster too. He was so cool.
This show was on in the UK and ran from 1971 to 1987. I'm guessing that you aren't British and was born in the early to mid 80's. Thank God for the Internet!! Stuff like this will be for a long time.
