This is from the UFC countdown training preparation section that BJ was doing for Diego Sanchez. I essentially trimmed it down to the more interesting part which was his nervous system training exercises. It's quite unique and explains a lot about how they turned an already talented fighter into a well disciplined machine. If you watched his fight against Diego, you pretty much know that BJ gave, arguably, the best performance of his career.

  • @kingdaleclarke bj penn has never necessarily been "ripped" but hes arguably the greatest lightweight of all time so that's a very stupid statement.

  • @landgabriel nah! they're more than legit...they'r just ahead of the curv

  • @kingdaleclarke troll

  • @BloodofPatriots exactly he'd be a God or Anderson Silva lol.

  • "ripped" lol did any of you see shaolin monks? they train all day and are not ripped, look at fedor also, crocap is all muscle and was destryed by fedor

  • If Penn had Faber's or Guida's work ethic, cardio and in-ring ferocity, he be unstoppable.

  • @bnruse THANK YOU !!!! BEEN SAYING THAT FOR YEARS !!!

  • true legend :-)

  • Bj penn is actually a pretty good boxer.. like that.

  • all these guys that are talking about this being a different type of fitness and the others saying he wasnt ripped like kingdaleclarke well..... i think you guys are right 110% take kimbo slice for example he was big really big and look at that guy get his ass kicked all the time in the ring

  • and when the hell has bj penn ever looked ripped? did he look ripped when he destroyed "sean the muscle sherk" or kenny florian i dont think so, and he broke those fighters and those are 2 guys who are known for their cardio and "being ripped" so honestly your statement that this type of training is a waste of time is a waste of peoples mind space cause its an absurd statement and next time think before you go out and try to down pro athletes, fighters just cause you wish you were one
