Here's a simple, yet adjustable cookbook stand you can make from a few pieces of scrap wood. www.WoodworkingForMereMortals.com

  • Hey that is a great idea! Although I don't cook that much I am always using books in my shop some of them don't stay open. I can use this in my shop and continue to microwave my chicken pot pies. thanks

  • @Buzzsawman It's funny, because after I made this I thought the same thing! Too many woodworking books include plans flop shut when you try to use them in the shop and need to keep referencing them.

  • hey ive noticed u started being more safe with your hand positions i guess those people must have been really annoying but anyways awsome video like always

  • @prenosilj124 Haha...well, I've learned how to edit better. ;-)

  • And you cook 2, I like it, and it would be fun to make some, good job Sir

  • @thewooforfun Cooking has a lot in common with woodworking. They are both about ideas, inspiration, design, execution and presentation. You improve with experience and throw away a lot of disasters in the process.

  • Seriously, who would dislike a book stand?

    I'm favoriting this.

  • Steve, I enjoy your videos and your down to earth attitude. I know the safety police sometimes come and tell you what you did ( that might be unsafe), so I thought I would beat them to it. When you cut down on the chop saw (the round part for a flat), because it is not seated against the fence (flat against the fence), it could grab, twist and pull your fingers in. When I need to cut something like this, I use a scrap of wood to hold the part down instead of my fingers. Blair

  • A tip, for the sliding of the backsupport to be smoother, use candle wax!

  • hey i see u use the grr- ripper u should do a video on it you could have used sliding dovetails

  • hey i see u use the grr- ripper u should do a video on it

  • otimo seus trabalhos .parabens

The third leg is genius. How did you cut the round legs?

  • @argiopetube just do the same thing but not so wide. a good way to use some workshop scraps :D
