@FosterLloydFan Radney done a great thing for the rodeo world and cowboys in general when he wrote this song,i started riding bulls the year this song came out and it seems a lil corny but i would play this song in my mind as i was pulling my rope and it seemed to trigger the right additude to give my best!!and the funny thing is ,i wasnt the only cowboy who did this,,haha!!great song thanks Radney and God Bless!!!

I was driving log truck when this song came out,I liked it so much I bought the casset at wal-mart and still have it and I still like to listen to it...good music indeed

was 20 yrs old when this came out. Livin' in Nashville, TN. Hated country music until I moved there. WOW! Loved this band.

@MustangCoupe1951 All of the archive footage are News Reel outtakes (1909 to 1927), not Hollywood recreations - so those are the real people. The guy holding the large award/cup is Yakima Canutt who had just won a bronc competition (1917?). The 1880s only had still images. As for the 1980s - the Radney and Bill performance footage was shot April 2, 1988.
