  • Make no mistake: The AWA is not about protecting or "safeguarding" children, it's about fear mongering and profiting from it. Registration and community notification laws are ineffectual when it comes to protecting society and enhancing public safety. Knowing where someone lives does NOT prevent crime; nor does it protect ANYONE, much less save lives. Millions wasted on laws that amount to little more than security theater and the illusion of safety and awareness.

  • No on AWA of 2006 funding! Let this ill-conceived, ineffectual train wreck piece of legislation dry up on the vine.

You can't CONTINUE to castigate, vilify and demonize a group of people for what you think they "MIGHT" do. That's illegal!

  • Well not boring, not entertaining either idk :W

  • I think he brought up all valid points. I liked his last point the best, about Fedex and UPS. Great job Mr. Senator.

  • I generally feel that Sensenbrenner is about as big of an idiot as congressmen come. I'm very glad that he finally got something right, though.

  • I actually live in his district and it contains the most Republican county in America so he isn't going to lose soon

  • @MrJinPengyou Well, you don't have to worry him losing his position any time soon. Sensenbrenner is VERY well-liked in his district. I think the Dems tried to seriously run an opponent a couple elections ago and it turned out to be a waste of money.

  • I would vote for you if I wasn't Canadian :(

  • And people wonder why I'm so happy to be able to vote for him every two years. Sensenbrenner's the ONLY politician I actually trust.

  • Wonderful review, Representative Sensebrenner. Please stand with your constituents against this bill.
