In this clip from Pop Goes The Country 1980, Chet plays "Hiwaiian Wedding Song" and then gives Ruth Buzzi a 2 minute guitar lesson. Inky-chink! From the DVD "Chet Atkins: Rare Performances 1976-1995." More info at http://www.guitarvideos.com/products/vestapol-dvds/chet-atkins-rare-performan...

  • You are touching my knee Chet

  • @badbom92 Give God Beiber and we`ll take Chet back.. Win Win for everybody -;o)

  • @rockinredneck57 No. I mean, the instrument at the right part. At the beggining looks like a steel guitar, isn't it?

  • @Igamikun Paul McCartney lays many instruments, not just bass and keyboards. But few have the pure talent that Chet had on guitar. Tommy Emmanuel is close, Jerry Reed was close and others are wonderful fingerpickers and some cover Chet very well, but he was the original. Roy Clark is very good, but he's not in Chet's class either. I'd say give a close look to those Chet gave the honorary CGP to. They are the cream of the crop of guitarists, not just friends.

  • @danielstevan26 I believe you are hearing the resonator guitar that Chet is playing in the introduction of the song.

  • Please, what's the name of the instrument at the beggining?

  • What can I say, I miss Mr Guitar and will never forget Him.

  • Truth is EACH ONE has his own genius. Chet had a touch that no one else had at his time, and beats many up to today. Just like Cyril Pahinui has a touch that his Dad did not have and Pops had his own touch of genius that no one else could copy or come close to.

  • @62Elvis ok BUT, james burton, glen campbell, jerry reed, roy clark, eric clapton & brian may ARE in the Genius category in My opinion.

  • @62Elvis ummm Paul McCartney plays the bass and piano. By no means is he a guitar genius. If you like Chet you need to look into some Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits. He was by all means a true guitar genius as well, and actually made and album with Chet called "Neck to Neck".
