If you have a still you need to change it to new compound clip to be able to manipulate the compositing mode

@anthropamorphic Yes, it is an effect you have to apply to the clip first. it is called "Mask"

Hey dan, GREAT tutorial videos. Quick question, how do i fade in and fade out in blending 2 clips. All I'am able to do is just blend the clips, but i dont want the blend to end so abruptly. This may sound crazy but it is so simple in Imovie. Can you please help me? Thanks hope to hear from you!
