Well done for proving Boris Johnson's point exactly. Fucking douchebags.

Drinking on the Underground has allways been illegal. Its just that many people ignored that law and so Boris being a retard thought look, theres no law against drinking on the train. I'll make one.
So now there are two seperate laws regarding not drinking.
Maybe I should go for Mayor and promise to introduce a smoking ban in enclosed public spaces.

Boris likes a drink, he was a member of the Bullingdon Club at Oxford and chose to drink with old Etonians, who wanted to run the country. He is an elitist and wants to stop ordinary people doing what he does. Of course you shouldn't emulate a 'wanker', ordinary people are better than that.

awesome!!!!! :D

...in the last days before the ban. Which tbh is quite stupid but ohwell, it's the british way, marking the end of an era. Boris made a huge mistake.
-
Actually, they only done this *because* Boris banned drinking on the underground, I'm a frequent visitor to London, and i've never had problems with drunks even as the last trains make their way home and i get stranded! I went to this party, and there were a lot of... miscreants? If he didn't ban drinking, it wouldn't be a problem - British people - particularly the young adults - if 1 of their freedoms are being removed - they make the most of what is left - some people started smoking in pubs
-
If the only problem in british society today is the fact you want to drink on the tube! that the majority of tube users want to use their public transport system without little drunk shits being loud, abusive and threatening then you need to open your fucking eyes. There was an issue with drinking on the tube before boris' decision - it was the largest complaint london transport had after timekeeping. Furthermore the actions of these people justifies that it was the right decision.
-
he might be a wanker but he looks like whats his face out of the "im the only gay in the village" comedy with a wighat
-
Besides, Most of the rail unions agree Boris is to blame :D
-
It was a small amount of people who caused damage, the majority were respectful to the staff and were just trying to have a bit of fun to mark the end of an era. 17 arrests out of all the thousands that went pretty much speaks for itself. And as I said THERE WASN'T AN ISSUE WITH ALCOHOL BEFORE THE BAN. Boris should have expected resistance to it.
-
Excuse me don't tell me to shut up brosi johnson is right to bring in the ban! the way people behaved on that day to police and tube staff was unacceptable and just prooves why alcohol should not be allowed on public transport
PART 4 -
Maybe the people who left the idiotic, foul-mouthed comments should grow up and actually know what they're talking about by opening their mind and getting out in the real world and experiencing it, rather than sitting in front of their lap-top and watching it happen on Youtube.

PART 3 -
I wouldn't be surprised if there were more people at that party who hadn't voted than had.
Surely this sends the politicians some kind of message that we've lost faith in our so-called leaders, but when there is a call to action that excites us and joins us together in some kind of community we're there in our thousands.

Response PART 2...
The chant 'Boris is a wa**er' was more amusing than malicious.
Considering there were rumoured to be 4,000 people who turned up for the event and ONLY 17 arrests that makes the percentage of trouble makers at less than 0.5 % - hardly reflective of the general tone. I wonder how many there would be on a regular Saturday night?
What i think is more interesting and indicative of the younger generation's attitude is the percentage of people that voted in the mayoral election.

I'm not meaning to add fuel to this 'text comment conflict' but alot of you really don't seem to 'get it'...
Having lived in London for the past 8 years (and regularly using the late night week day and weekend tubes) i can honestly say i've never thought 'Gosh, i wish they would ban drinking on here because there are sooo many pissheads' Becuase there aren't.
The party wasn't a regular occurence. It was a one-off to mark a point in history.
