Robert thought it was funny and better than most videos that make fun of his quirks.
He was not upset in the slightest. That I could tell anyway. Sister Fripp

I can't stop laughing. It's funnier every time.

Steven used to play Fenders thru Fenders. Now he uses some off the wall little tinny sounding things......Probably sounds ok in the headphones. Nothing beat that Twin Reverb howling off the stage. I've been there.

What's wrong with Steve Howe's guitar tone????

"Anyone who thinks Kansas is prog... leave the room." lol

Man, I broke two strings trying to tune to the NST. I finally made it, though, I have the scars to show for it.

I know I had an experience with Mr. Fripp, and there seemed to be a lot of unfounded suspicion, as I had no means or intention to take pics or record his music live. I sat right in front of him.

I don't care if he acts as a spoiled child, I'll take my pics

That 'new standard tuning' joke killed me!

That's a funny script fkappreciative. I think Hitler's love affair with Robert Fripp's music may have started in 1972, with his fortuitous chance encounter with the Fripp/Eno track "Swastika Girls".

@fkappreciative I, too, have heard the performer/audience relationship reason.
he really prohibits photos? why?

@fractaloide I've heard him respond to this question with several reasons why he prohibits photos; both during live performances and in every-day life. Everything from photography violating a relationship between performer and audience, to simply not liking his picture taken. Or I could be wrong. I'm sure someone will correct me and yell at me for getting the reasons wrong.

@fractaloide Specifically, RF believes that such things screw with a musician's ability to perform music in a honorable fashion. If you're "the right person," (who isn't out to sell autographed material, disrupt performances, or ask anything of him so you can brag about it to your buds later), at "the right place," (namely, not at concerts or out of the blue on the street), at "the right time" (when he's prepared to do such things), you may just get lucky.

This is the funniest thing I've seen in a long, long time. I can tell I'm a prog dork because of how hard I laughed at this!

@asymptoticspatula I think you hit on something alarming, asymptoticspatula! If you get all the jokes and obscure prog references, it's time to embrace your prog geekism and wear it as a badge of honor! We can't escape it.

In case you're wondering what the deal was with Roine Stolt of the Flower Kings letting 'that jerk from Texas propose to his girlfriend on stage at the Denver show" was all about, I met my wife on the Flower Kings fan board. When I told Roine that I met the woman that I plan to marry on his user group, he suggested that I propose to her on stage during the show. So I added that line in there because I thought Roine would get a kick out of it :-).
