Dudley Dursley, the kids from Willy Wonka, royalty: When you have things in overabundance, it literally spoils you. It shuts down your appreciation of life and imagination that develops from want. My nephews have way more toys than I ever did as a kid to where they don't actually seem to enjoy them very much.Our current world is absolutely drowing in texting, etc, to the degree that the act of human interaction itself has become meaningless. Overabundance takes joy + mystery out of anything.

That was a good point about being oversaturated on e-freindships Lindsay, however I don't feel my countless online freindships impact how well I'm freinds with my RL freinds - with todays tech we probably have a very large net gain on freindshipitude whilst having our regular freinds and keeping all our aquaintinces.

Casual Gaming has its place same way as rpg's shooters and RTS games have thier place. all of it has become sub-divisions and to judge one is to judge them all i suppose
