I agree with your comments, except for one thing. I subscribe to Chinua Achebe's assertions. 1. Igbo na su n'olu na olu. 2. Igbo is a Nation of tribes and not A tribe. An Ukwuani, Ikwerre, Ogba, Andoni, Ika, and any other Igbo person who wakes up and wants to deny himself, will always be Igbo to me. Our traditional beliefs are the same, we share the same culture in our hospitality, we speak variations of the same language. Igbo bu Ofu. Ndewo.
I am from Imo, geographically not far at all from Kwale. I understand Ndokwa dialect better than I do Afikpo or Abakiliki. In the song Kris himself is singing to Chinyelugo of Igboland. How anyone can claim this is edo is baffling. Igbo (Ibo) bu otu (ofu). Ndewonu.
@Nnfefe you are wrong again. Igbo total. Chinyelugo. look at thei rdeamenor, dress, dancing and the lyrics nothing but igbo royalty. Chukwu gozie Igbo. Igbo gadi . Umu EZE. Total Igbo biko hapu my family. They are already blessed by our GOD. Umu Igbo help others always thats the song. Umunnem deeje nuoo. Proudly Igbo, Ukwuani.Umu Ado nnayi (Adonai).
Thanks alot for posting this super sound,I love it . It does not matter were he comes from, he can come Ndokwa , Ukwani or Agbor , the song is Chinyelugo and that is Igbo language. That means this Igbo music as long as we all understand it. I am from Imo State but base Germany so please stop this useless divisions, we all are Igbos but different States and dialects, Tribe wise we are One.
