[All Stages and No UFO Shortcuts]
The ONLY time we don't get an intermission letter from the big boss, but I guess since he literally told you his next destination back in San Francisco, there was no point.
So much for a clean-run or a no-death run, but I suppose that would potentially take a couple more months of re-recodings if I was THAT determined, because the rigid game mechanics is your worst foe most of the time. I hate the fact that the boss lairs are becoming more of obstacles themselves than they should be; there's no point, all that should matter is to fight the boss. All this garbage before it is just meandering waste to filter away your life stock.
Interestingly enough we battle an EVIL Fox McCloud, and even if he isn't the famed Star Fox commander, he sure looks like it and armed appropriately similar... kinda of. There is also a new Goal animation and bosses now emerge from barrels instead of statues, both signs of crossing the halfway point of the game.
Is it just me or does a small portion of the Sushi Bar melody sound like it belongs on a patriotic anthem or something?
That's true lol. Must've been intentional game design and balancing.

@DragoonMyuutsu Well they do make it easy to lose lives in later levels, especially since the game's controls are slippery, Billy dies in one hit, and there's so many pits. 0-0

I like how the hero at the beginning of the stage simply "hops the border into Mexico". I am sure this game would be very popular with border police :)

You think that's A LOT, it's about to get bigger, they made 1-UPs too easy to build-up in this game, but I guess since I've played this before a couple of times, it also helps in maintaining the overall stock.
