Quick How-To on last boss in the new 5-man Heroic, Zul'Gurub. I spent six hours in this particular dungeon before finally finishing. It's an easy fight as long as you have players that are moderately aware. It is doable using only one large spirit, but keep in mind the mob will gain increased attack speed over time.

  • is there a more streamlined way of dpsing the smaller spirits? I get yelled al b/c i get assigned to hit all of them alone and miss the chain sometimes<---hunter wtf can i do.

  • @LoneBlue14 it can be tough for just one person to clean up Twisted Spirits, but if you're the only one on Twisted duty, do NOT worry about chain dps, your job is just as important as anyone else's. Just make sure you kill the smaller spirits as soon as possible. The best way I've seen it done now is for group to do one chain at a time. Bring up big spirit, slam a chain, kill big spirit, dps chain while Sundered Rift is boosting your dmg to it while someone cleans up small spirits and so forth.

  • During Phase ONE, if you have several magic DPS in your party, pull Jin'Do OUT of the deadzone that he casts around himself or he will take far less dmg from your magic. When he turns purple (casts Shadows of Hakkar), the tank should flip him around and get into the Deadzone with everyone else, but keeping Jin'Do on the outside. He strikes about 3 times with the SoH buff (which will chainlightning throughout your group) before he casts another Deadzone. At 69% he will flee and Phase Two starts.

  • awesome guide but im alliance XD lol like it matters, peace :)

  • @mrpoppapill glad to help, sir. I'm not faction biased it was a cheap joke :þ i have friends on both alliance and horde, it's only a game, people that take things too serious have a little more trouble enjoying themselves..

  • yeah the twisted spirits need to die asap, as heals they eventually come to you and start hitting for about 15-25kish. They only have about 30k hp themselves so just have ranged dps them down.

  • FUCK THE HORDE!

  • This dude was easy right from the start :L

  • @LoneBlue14 You're a hunter, you're going to get blamed for everything regardless.

  • Have you ever noticed the difficulty being greater to any particular degree when the dps is 2 out of 3 melee? Speaking as a pally healer, pugs seem to me to be far more prone to being a hugegantic fail-fest when this is the case, and I don't know if this is due to the mechanics strongly favoring ranged dps, or that there are just a lot of 'tarded melee deeps out there that have crap situational awareness and fail to notice when I bring a horde of spirits right to them. Any thoughts?

  • Just did this guy like six times and failed and as the healer took the flak, but there was no one doing anything about the twisted, so it was me hopelessly running around the chains getting owned by the spirits and trying to dodge the energy lol

  • I luved it when u said F the allaince... Horde FTW

  • So are all the DPS supposed to kill the spirits or is "a hunter supposed to kite the spirits" cuz i got yelled at because i couldn't kite them all...

  • @SolidPRAWN The only thing I'm scared of in WoW is getting owned, so I roll alliance ;)

  • holy crap i laughed a lot at the end..that was so unexpected..
