So what are you saying...like if someone has a white parent and a Native parent, and they just happen to "look" like their white side they are supposed to deny their Indian heritage? I for one am sick of these racist comments. There are a LOT more of us mixed people out here than fullbloods today...if you respect your culture, that should be what's important, NOT what you look like on the outside. I'm sick of seeing people judged solely on their skin color.

THANK YOU! This happens to me aaaalll the time. Both of my parents are half native and half white, luckily for them, they both look like like their native side. This leaves me also half native and half white, unfortunately for me, I look like I'm totally white. But I love powwows, I love dancing fancy shawl, I try to learn everything I can about my culture, and it seems that other natives look down on me.

i love dancing and yes i am almost full blooded i only have like 20% white otherwise im indian i love fancy shawl dancing and i have native pride

Imma full blooded native, My son is Half Native and Half African American....It seems to me that no one had a problem with half blooded african americans who dance, but when it comes to half blooded white people, they get outcased....I too think it's rediculous!!!!...Just as long as one knows the way of our traditions and the right way of dancing, it's all good.

We just need to all get along....lol.

@Fanjayaforever you speak the truth, I`m mixed too (native ancestors 4 generations back) and I`m tired of people implying I lie when I tell them that. I won`t deny anything to satisfy some troll and not make them uncomfortable. Dumb people are scared easily but I don`t care about that.

NAtives can be white brown and other colours it doesent matter yyour colours it matters if you were born native im NAtive/... waht ever my dad is :/

That girl is native, her name is Nikki and she's Mandan/Hidatsa but she's not a full blood. Her mom looks super native but she just came out lookin white. Nothing wrong with that.

I dont understand why there is a white girl "Trying" to dance fancy shawl...damn, this really sucks to c this. i wish white people would stick to their country music and let us stick to ours!!
