  • why do you use _mc for the movie clip names?

  • @XReconX7 It tells actionscript that we're dealing with a movieclip

  • Hey man, what recording software did you use?

  • Camtasia studio 5, torrent it! :D

NOTE: Please subscribe, it will motivate me :D

    Thanks!

  • How'd you get it to follow ur cursor like that?

  • In camtasia studio 5, you can do something called screen pan, and with camtasia studio 6 or anythin above, you can not.

  • @Manifest222 it doesnt. Its for you, for the developer, to remember its a movie clip on the stage not something from the code.

What i mean, you could use blabla instead of blabla_mc for instance names....

  • Dude, Thank you so much!

  • people this is crap

  • You shouldn't be teaching. I flame nooks who teach. You are promoting bad coding habits to learners out there. First of all, you should code into as files and not the timeline. Second, you should generate enemies by loop. Third. You are directly accessing from the array. You should make a reference first, to speed up code. Fourth, you Spelled enemies wrong

  • A minute has passed...

  • His cough infected me! D=

  • @Manifest222 no it doesn't, you can give it any name you want it is only for making it easier for yourself.

  • It's important (for me) to put "_MC" for Movie Clips because if you want to name a button but same as the name of the Movie Clip, just put "_BTN" in the back of the name for button.

  • can you give me a link about "sprite"?

i dont remember knowing it when I learnt flash as 1.0 back in collage

  • @Manifest222 Don't have to name it with mc though, the type of symbol already tells actionscript what it's dealing with. Though I suppose you'd never run into problems with flash using the built in keywords.
