Subramanian Swamy on Electronic Voting Machine Tampering - IndiaWires

Dr Swamy explains that he proved in Delhi high court that EVM machines can be tampered. Dr Swamy contacted EVM machine manufacturing Japanese company and asked whether they use this EVM machine in japan or not. They said they are not mad and they don't use that in Japan, in japan they use Ballot paper. Similarly in all advanced countries like UK, USA, Japan, Germany etc ballot paper is used. Dr Swamy also explains about the solution which he proposed.

When Pakistanis can counterfeit Indian notes a fake electoral receipt is just a child's play !. Nothing is fool proof. All systems are only 80% effective and we should be satisfied with any system as long as the EC's independence is ensured. Although his case is justified and there is enough proof about PC's last election scam, we must think about the whole nature of conduct of elections in India which is a massive exercise and hence EVMS are required.Japan / Germany voter size - 1/3 of us !

EVM's are NOT used in any other civilised/advanced nation, as its open to fraud. Its been proven beyond doubt. All results from EVM elections should be declared NULL & VOID by the UN. This massive Fraud has been carried out by corrupt indian ruling classes, top 0.001%. About time people woke up and elect honest people like Dr Swamy to sort out this mess and get rid of the scum.

If we go with only printed receipt, there may be a chance of doing fraud in this also. temporarily software may give correct vote receipt.

Thank you Mr. Subramanian Swamy. Very good idea of a printed receipt, but its still risky with illitrate people. What if it still gives u a reciept voted for wrong person? We can't cancel the vote? I think there should be a provision to cancel and revote. because if it gives a vote to a wrong candidate then nothing can be done? and each person just has to complain and leave the voting place?? Still ballot paper is better I think. Why take a risk please fight only for ballot paper.

Printing machine with casted vot receipt is good way to tackle the fraud in evm. Thanks for Dr. Swami for suggesting and ensuring it is implemented before UP elections

India shoul use ballet paper voting only. Congress is likely to use fradulant means to win. EVM can not be trustworthy.

Mr. Swamy is right. I witnessed a lottery system to allot houses in Rajasthan Housing board Jaipur. The officials did a computerised lottery in front of public applicants and generated a list of allotments. Surprisingly, all the corner flats and premium flats were allotted to PRE-FIXED applicants. I did a small research into it and found that whatever random number generation etc. the computer does, the final print-out is already pre-stored on the hard disk and gets printed.
