@NVMDSTEvil this was before the advent of offroad prepped carbs, not too long after this we had one built by a local shop to the tune of about 1000 bucks but still cheaper cheaper than efi conversion, wish holleys truck avenger line was around then...

@darkstargladiator carbs dont work too well on non-level terrain sometimes. Floats inside them bounce and dont sit level, lets the motor flood.

sounds like she is loadin up real bad but man this is a beautiful ride I got a 82 rc 6 inches of lift 318 4 speed and I love it!!!

@canttouchmymopar yep, was still running a regular old holley 850 at the time and it definetly was close to being jetted correct. sounds like you have a nice rig though, i had an 85 with the same setup till i blew the 318 and dropped a 360 in... what lift did you go with? i had a rough country 4 inch

@Adam194CR just a mild performance build, has the whole edelbrock performer kit on it, and a holley 850 prepped for off road use, compression was 9.5:1 wasnt a screamer but had more power than almost any other rig except for a few mud racers. estimated at around 400-425 hp and 500-525 tq
