@behappybehippy the sun isn't seen, but the shadow it casts on the moon/venus tells you where it is.
yes, telescopes have mirrors. mirrorS. take some time to read up on how light travels through a telescope please.

@hojop25 The moon and planets are not effected by city LP - only faint deepsky galaxies etc but a sensitive astro-camera will conquer LP;-)

does anyone else see the continuity errors?
in window- sun is to the lower right of the moon
in telescope-the sun is to the upper left of the moon

@StressedYeti These are not continuity error; 1] the sun is NOT in any of the pictures; 2]only the moon and crescent Venus are shown; 3] the telescope view [as always] is upside down or inverted to the 'normal' view - hope that clarifies.
