My good friend Peter Rodger was one of the men who died in the Pike River mining tragedy in New Zealand. I wrote this song the night before a second blast ended all hope for the family and friends of the miners.
The song is called Hope.

At 3 min 51 secs i'm the guy on the right of the picture. I made another video for the song which was shown at Pete's memorial in Perth yesterday. It included lots of childhood pictures of Pete and also more recent ones of his life in New Zealand, including a lovely picture of Pete and Di.

Hi mike, i love your song so much, im a friend of pete and Di, i live in christchurch NZ. Ive only known pete for maybe a year or so, and even tho ive known him not as long as you, im privledged to have met and known him.It so good to see him when he was a young lad. What i would like to know is who you are on the tribute, love the picture of him at the end at 3 minutes 51 r u the guy on the left or right?
