  • @lovelonglost22 Good point. Also, do not forget the stress that comes in a highly competitive top tier law school. Law school is a game, designed for big firms, and the schools grade students on a curve. Better to graduate at a lower tier school than to fail academically (below 2.2 gpa) at a higher ranked school. To be a good lawyer you must learn how to think independently, and no law school teaches that. So you can be a good advocate no matter where you graduate from.

  • Do not use US News and World Report to choose your law school. Go where you want to practice and where you can afford. Some schools have regional strength that that isnt reflected in those scores. Example Syracuse. Its tier 3. But they develop big name new york lawyers. Who get paid very well. Ask my husband.
