--- UPDATE 04/06/10 ---
This video is really weird for me to watch now. I was 14 when I made this, and I'm now 17, so I'm keeping it up here mostly for nostalgia. I haven't made this "coffee" in about three years now. :P My family have had the kitchen this was filmed in renovated, and it's now far better lit than it was on this January night!

To answer some frequently asked questions:
- I'm British; specifically, south-east England, nearer London. I'm honoured that a couple of people say I have a nice accent!
- I've always had tea and coffee with two sugars, and that amount has decreased as I've gotten older. At fourteen years old, I was quite keen on sugar, hence the copious amounts shown in this video.
- I guess if you had to give it one of those fancy names, it'd be a mocha (because of the hot chocolate) latte (because of all the milk). I'm sorry to those of you who are angry at me for calling it coffee.
- Finally; I'm left handed, and I think I was holding the camera with my left hand and looking through the viewfinder, so in the darkness it was really difficult to actually get stuff in the cup! I think the worktop enjoyed more hot chocolate and sugar than I did. :P

Thanks for all the comments! This is by far my most viewed and most commented-on video; please check out some of my other stuff, particularly the musical stuff!

Thanks
Kieran

The perfect cup of coffee ain't at all easy to make. Here I show you just how it's done. Credit to Spark of Infinite Blue for the fantastic idea (although I've adapted it a little bit).

Here's how to do it in text:
1. Get a mug.
2. Three teaspoons of sugar is recommended. Less and it is too bitter. The more cinnammon you add (in addition to the recommended amount), the more sugar you should add.
3. Add a dashing of cinnammon. About two teaspoons.
4. One or two teaspoons of hot cocoa/hot chocolate powder.
5. Add one and a half teaspoons of instant coffee. Any kind, any brand, any caffeine content.
6. Stir.
7. Fill the mug halfway with water.
8. Stir.
9. Fill the remainder with milk to taste.

Please forgive the badly cut bits - I needed to shrink the video to fit on YouTube so I cut out some little bits when I went to get certain tools.

  • Hey, guys; rather than telling me how awful the instant coffee I used is, try reading the updated description. I don't attest to advertising for Tesco; I just used what my house had. We're not especially big coffee drinkers.

This coffee actually tasted amazing... but I only put two sugars in and 2 spoonfulls of coffee. Cool video :P
