This is completely fucking retarded. It was the Taliban who destroyed the crops in 2001 because it goes against Islamic law. The poppy crops were producing 650% more yield than the pre taliban number as of 2007. The US IS GROWING all of the poppy thats coming out of there right now. These farms should all be killed for supplying the world with these drugs

they also need to realize other countries buy from them too

95% of them actually grow food to survive on, and the opium poppy.

Afghan farmers complaining that if their poppy fields are wiped out they won't be able to feed their families any more... why aren't the farmers growing food to feed their families?
