Fairline Targa 38 vs Monterey 375 sportscruiser

This month in MBM we test Fairlines latest, 4 cylinder diesel powered version of its Targa 38. Giving away well over 200hp to the usually 6cyl 370hp version, this T38 costs far less, but can it deliver on the water? To find out we pitched it against Montereys great value 375 sportscruiser. The Monterey 355 and 375 has a more modern look and goes better in the sea, not that good in details as the Failrline but good enough, Monterey has a much better price, at least in Scandinavia. Almost half the price as a Fairline in the same size, I now have a Monterey 355 SY with twin D4, and I love it. (have had Fairline before)

the monterey is very poor in materials, not to compare with the high standard from fairline. I have had a monterey and a fairline, certainly the fairline is the best

The Fairlane was about dead ugly and handled just so so.

The monterey clearly out performed the sosolane
