yea..:( that's the year we stopped doing braids and mini hats. i don't remember why, but i miss them! actually, that's the year newport drill made drastic changes because we started getting marked down for our old school drilling the year before. they wanted to see more "creativity". in other words, more dancy like the other teams. i'm still a little bitter, haha.

so either 2003 or 2004 was the last year of the 90 degree march...I LOVE Newports 90 degree march. Wish they still used it. It looks like they just substituted low prance for it. Easier- but in my opinion is harder to clean and make look good. but I still love the 90 degree march!

newport's 2004 drill had some great 90s. i hate that i lost the dvd, that was the best year ever for all of drill. well i think the 90s marches are coming back, since in their fall competition routine this year they got out of their peel-off line with them, they even made them grow out into a bow tie which was pretty amazing. i'm sure we'll be seeing them at state too...their captains are all about the fancy maneuvers this year.

actually the choreography is pretty snazzy, the execution was just sketch.
