Mohd Hatim Photography Exhibition by Woon King Chai [TLC Promise Me]

Former professional photographer Mohd Hatim had worked for Petronas for 19 years since 1992 and travelled to exotic locations on assignment from offshore rigs to the streets of Europe and back. His stroke 7 months ago brought all that to an end and left him wheelchair bound. In order to regain and relive a part of what he had lost, Hatim's wish was to go out and take photographs with the aid of a tripod stand.

His wish was fulfilled by Woon King Chai, an AIESEC student member in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia who took him to the Subang Lake for a photography outing and took it a step further by organizing a photography exhibition featuring works from the outing and Hatim's previous work from around the world, at Jaya 33 shopping mall.

Woon wanted to raise awareness amongst the youth about the value of being involved in the community regardless of race and religion. He added that other than excelling in one's studies at school, one should also strive to get involved with issues concerning the society. The effort put in by Woon visibly moved Hatim's heart and other stroke survivors who came along to show their support.
