Severe Storm in Leander, TX. June 11 2009.

This storm had multiple reports of tornadoes. Our location in Leander saw quarter sized hail, heavy lightning, 50+ mph winds, a wall cloud and cloud rotation.

If you have a weather radio, it will turn on automatically to tell you who's in the path of the storm and to seek shelter. But there are no sirens like you might find in more torando prone areas like Oklahoma, Kansas or the Texas panhandle areas.

No. This is about 25 miles northwest of Austin, TX. Central Texas does get the occasional tornado. Not nearly as much as northern areas of Texas though.

I Was Scread here in Austin,Tx the sky was Greenish Dark and i was scread that a tornado was going to drop but luckly it passed right over us and did it in Leander,Tx pass over you too.

The tornado sirens went off in Cedar Park during this storm.

Leander does not have sirens. Cedar Park does, but the city is too large for most people to hear them. We have a weather radio and I also get warnings from Accuweather through text on my phone.
