Valve originally intended to include a purple gel that allowed you to stick to surfaces. It was removed before it was finished and Valve has no plans to put it back in the game. I've made a custom implementation and it's now working well enough to show.

  • So here's a good question. Are the physics for how this gel works included in the SDK or did someone develop it so you can add it to the SDK.

  • @omnicoder how did you do that? just direct gravity towards the gel when you're touching it or something?

    Aperture once sold this as a dieter's aid. It was a slightly toxic pudding. It was, however, removed from the shelves because it would, due to it's sticky nature, stick to the dieters stomach lining and cause clotting.

  • @omnicoder excuse me,but i may be of asictance.look,i dont know ANYTHING about the source engine,but that dosent mean that im usless.ok,imagine this,this stiky gel stuff gets on a cube,right?havin trouble makin it stick to the wall?no problem!you see,insted of makin it try to stick by throwing it,make it so that when it goes through a portal (ex:portals on floor and wall) when it goes through the one on the floor,it goes through the one on the wall without falling down,insted going strait :)
