  • @gphx seriously you think that most people spend a couple of hours a day outdoors year round and all live in the climate where they get sun all year round ?? from what I have researched a twenty minutes is okay if you are not deficient but if you are you would need hours to catch up I just don't see the masses outdoors not even kids anymore I have noticed that my pets never want to come in when it is sunny they prefer to sit in the hot sun ! animals have not lost their instinct and intelligence

  • Most people get all the vitamin D they need from the sun. Could it be people who are overweight and unhealthy don't get outside as much as other people? Perhaps overweight (or metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, whatever the cause) causes low D and not the other way around. Makes sense to me.

  • I've just been given a Vit D blood level test...Dr ordered me on 50,000 IU / Week
