Did he forget explain why the “defense of marriage bill” is not comparable to the early days of fascist that state or those reprehensible laws that outlawed interracial marriage? I think he did. So, did he really have a point? Nope. He is just grandstanding like all the others.

Yes, Senator Newton, what you are promoting is akin to racial bigotry, and you and your fellow bigots will go down in history in disgrace right along with the bigots that tried to protect slavery and segregation. Hopefully, you will also be as unsuccessful as they were. This has nothing to do with protecting marriage. I was happily married for 42 years, and granting marriage equality to homosexuals would not have threatened my marrage one iota. You are a disgrace to humanity!
