Spherical Beamforming
Spherical beamforming is a new technology allowing a full 360 degree overview sound field map also in confined environments such as a car or aircraft cabin without making any assumptions about the sound field.
You can use Spherical Beamforming to make a quick map of the sound field and possibly perform further analysis by using the Patch Holography or Conformal Mapping applications that can be run on the same system.
Data is acquired by placing a sphere at the centre of the measurement area. The sphere has microphones and cameras distributed on the surface allowing a full 360 by 180 degree map that can be made without knowing the geometry of the measured object.
Key features:
Omnidirectional 360 degree mapping independent of acoustic enviroment
Conformal Mapping Optics
36 or 50 microphones/12 cameras
