so just how and why ?? Never seen or heard of a machine like this! Its huge! I get the kernel cracking part, ive run a self propelled silage harvester with a Kemper header, so how does this work, is it coming from a combine to the roller at the pit?

Or you just put a combine head on a self propelled forage harvester that has a kernel processor and voila you have cob meal, or high moisture corn whichever you prefer

nope. has it's own engine that connects to it at the back of it where the tractor pulls it.

It's called a corn roller. This one has 6 mills on it. Its takes corn kernels and cracks them so that cattle can digest it and so we can pack it like corn silge to make it fermint and not have to build huge silos to store the corn
