I agree with those who say Bonzo got better as he aged. His movements became more compact when playing if you watch, and much more wrist power generated. He was certainly one of if not the most crafty drummers I've ever seen. Those snap fills of his ie snare/triplet snare/triplet snare always sounded so huge yet the movement to pull it off is minimal. Sort of tricks the ears. Wonderful spirit to his drumming I don't think anybody has ever come close to.

isnt it amazing.. that this show wasnt one of the best in 1977 at all and yet it still rocks!! but for the quality this show stands out above most 77 bootlegs

@Aspergian Jimmy has the video in his vaults somewhere. Doubt it will see the light of day... unless somebody else builds up the guts to break in again

Good point. Look at Neil Peart today...mid-late 50's and still totally bitches almost every other rock drummer alive...and those guys would probably be first to admit it also.

nobody will come close.

It's a shame there is no video of this concert. The Summit, I do believe, was a venue that had cameras recording for video screens inside the venue.

for bonham, he seemed to get better as he aged, so age really doesnt seem to matter at all in the first place!
